Do you want to know what my book is about?  Do you?  Well…okay.  Here is the blurb:

I am so excited about this book.  The idea hit me so hard a while back and I wrote down the scene so I wouldn't forget it.  Well, the characters definitely aren't letting me forget as they keep talking to me and it's turning out to be my next book.  I couldn't be happier.  I can't wait to share it with you all. xoxo

Undone

Remember that book I mentioned in a post from a few days ago?  The one where I said this:

There's a book that will be coming out sometime in November that I am SO excited for.  I've had the privilege of being able to read it and oh my gosh, it is so good!  This guy is going to kill you ladies, he's that hot.  Stay tuned...

Well friends, this is it!  Undone by RE Hunter comes out on November 21st and I. Cannot. Wait!

Here is the blurb:

Five years ago, Embry Jacobs ran...

She ran from a past that still hasn’t let her go, but her dream of becoming a lawyer is stronger than her fear of confronting that past. Embry’s sole focus is to get through law school—with the help of her best friend, Morgan—and make something of the broken girl she became. Not thinking about falling in love, being in a relationship or even entertaining the idea of romance, Embry is moving forward one day at a time.

Luke Brody is charming and sexy, and has a past of his own. He wants nothing more than to put his demons to rest and move on with his life. But, when Embry enters the picture, is he destined to repeat those same mistakes?

Blindsided by their instant attraction, neither Luke nor Embry are prepared for the feelings they’re developing. But will it all be for nothing?

Will they let their pasts destroy them, or will they risk everything to fight for their relationship when it all comes undone?

Luke is my #1 book boyfriend.  I can't get enough of him.  He is so so hot and so so amazing.

Make sure to put this one on your TBR's.  How many days until November 21st?

A Piece of Me

“Just know, when you truly want success, you’ll never give up on it. No matter how bad the situation may get.” - Unknown

This quote really hit hard.  I am the type that if I don't succeed right away, I'm done.  I give up.  I move on.

Since I published Distorted, there have been so many times I've almost done just that.  It's too hard.  It's not all fun and games.  It's really a lot of work.

But...

I haven't.

Because I finally had a heart to heart with myself and I told myself it's time to try.  It's time to work hard for something and to give it a chance.  It's time to stop giving into my insecurities.

Those who know me know I suffer from a very fragile self-esteem.  I naturally feel people just don't like me and feel I'm not worth the time of day. Yeah, it sucks and I've worked hard lately to get a grip and not worry so much.  Easier said than done though.

Writing and publishing have been one of the biggest highs of my life.  I am thrilled beyond words that I accomplished my goal of writing a book.  This is something I've wanted my whole life.  I did it.

So why think of quitting?

Because it's also one of the hardest things I've ever done.  It's a whole new world I didn't know existed. It's a whole new part of my life that I wasn't fully prepared for.

But you know what?

I'm not going to.

I'm here to stay.

No matter what happens, I am determined to keep going and to work hard for something.  I'm not going to follow my nature this time and give up.  I absolutely love writing and will continue to for as long as I can.  There are so many stories in my head waiting to be told.  Even if I write them just for me, I won't stop.

Not this time.

A Giveaway, a Sale, and Something New

My 2000 likes giveaway ends tomorrow.  Have you seen it?  If not, go check it out here.  I have tons of great authors donating their books and my good friend at Rude Girl Book Blog donating a book of winners choice for $3.99 or less.  I'm really excited about it and can't wait to announce the winners.

Also...

My .99 sale will be ending sometime this week as well.  If you haven't read Distorted and have been wanting to, go grab it at this great price here.  It's normally $2.99 which still is a great deal, but you just can't beat .99.

And...

I'm also at work on the sequel to Distorted, which I'm really happy with so far.  It won't be the same as the first one, at all.  This one WILL NOT have a triangle.  I'm excited just to focus on the couple and their angsty road to love. :)

One last thing...

There's a book that will be coming out sometime in November that I am SO excited for.  I've had the privilege of being able to read it and oh my gosh, it is so good!  This guy is going to kill you ladies, he's that hot.  Stay tuned...

9/11

Where were you on 9/11?

I was in Anaheim, CA.  We woke up on that morning to an almost three year old excited to go over to Disneyland to celebrate her birthday.  Being that it was barely 6:00 AM, I talked her into watching Playhouse Disney for a little while so we could sleep some more.  Getting out of bed, I turned the hotel TV on and immediately saw a building on fire.  It took me a few minutes to fully grasp what was happening, and I immediately woke up my husband.

Disneyland was closed that day.  We took our two daughters to Disneyland Hotel and tried to do our best to entertain them as they were three and one.  I will never forget walking around the lobby and hearing a woman walking towards me on her phone, crying, asking if her boyfriend was okay.  I  will never know that answer but it's never left me.

9/11 was something that will impact us for the rest of our lives.  I still can't watch documentaries or reports without crying, and feeling chills.  The horror of that day will live with us forever.

But...

We can also remember the heroes and the sacrifices.  We can do acts of service.  We can honor the victims and their names.  We can think of what really matters, and do our best not to focus on the mundane.  We can come together as a nation.

We Will Never Forget.
